Task 6: Safely departing a berth

You will be asked to demonstrate that you can:

1. Check to see that it is safe to perform the manoeuvre.
2. Allow for wind and current during departure.
3. Depart the berth with little or no impact to the berth.
4. Not impede any other vessels.
5. Use appropriate revs.
6. Use smooth and timely use of gears.
7. Stow and secure the mooring lines.
