The Marine Teachers Association of Queensland has developed the following publications for its members.  

All time in this development has been donated by members past and present and any funds raised from membership sales go directly towards expenses such as TRS days, involved in future document development. 

MTAQ School Boating Safety Management System

Completed in 2011, this document can be used as a guide for Principals when signing Education Queensland Risk Assessments and agreements with Yachting Queensland A word version is available for financial members in the members area.

MTAQ 2003-2006 Exam Papers

From 2003-2006 a small group of members got together to share their exams that had the approval of QSA panels.  The exams are mid and end semester tests from Marine Studies and MAP classes.

MTAQ Powerboating Practical Exam CD

Developed in 2009, this CD shows movies of 10 trial practical tests that you can use for Boatsafe practical COMPETENCY testing.  A hard copy CD is available from the MTAQ office.The movies are available for financial members in the members area.

MTAQ Restricted coxswain (schools) members information kit

In September 2006, a members information kit was developed to assist school employees obtain their schools coxswains.
Copies of this kit are available for financial members in the members area.

MTAQ Coast and Marine Education Syllabus

This outcomes based syllabus was developed for middle school students studies Level 4 - beyond Level 6 of the national curriculum standards. It has been accredited by the Queensland Studies Authority from 2006 - 2010.

Curriculum exchange

Contains over 2000 activities, excursion ideas, exam questions, review sheets mainly in the area of Junior Marine Studies. This section is contributed to by marine studies teachers past and present and is continually growing. This exchange can be accessed through the members area.

MTAQ Marine Safety Day Manual

This 44 page manual developed in 1999, contains suggestions on how to run a marine safety day involving local schools, Marine Safety Queensland and local sponsors. It describes over 20 activities for the day. This manual can be accessed through the members area..
