Please note that Monday and Tuesday are at Holloways Beach EEC. On Wednesday, we will have breakfast and one presentation, before boarding a bus to the Aquaculture facilities. At this time, we are also moving the conference to Cairns SHS and will be dropped off there by the bus for lunch and the rest of the program.
We will walk to the Cairns Aquarium, the RSL and Cairns Marina. Therefore, if staying at Holloways Beach EEC or Cairns city for the duration of the conference, you will require transportation. If you are staying at Holloways Beach EEC and then somewhere near to Cairns SHS, you will be able to get to and from all conference activities comfortably.
Holloways Beach EEC accommodation is only available to delegates at $16.50/delegate/night for members and $20/delegate/night for non-members, unfortunately, there is no option for familes &/or partners.
Cairns accommodation is the delegates responsibility and the only option for delegates travelling with families &/or partners.
On Friday 27th is a Reef Day, where we will implement Eye on the Reef and Coral Watch methodology. It is on a commercial tourism vessel - Reef Magic's Dreamtime tour to Moore and Milln Reefs. Therefore, we will be on with other passengers. Family members are welcome. Prices are below when you enter number of "extra" participants. If coming for the entire conference, your reef tour is included. Due to commercial tour requirements of having to provide numbers a given number of days prior to the tour, there are no refunds after registration closes (Wednesday 18th September).
On Saturday 28th is a Coral Watch training day - please register for this separately on the Coral Watch website. https://coralwatch.org/index.php/event/coralwatch-teacher-pd-workshop/
